[Seoul = Newsis] Reporter Lee Seung-ju = Woori Card's 'Card Principle' has topped 1 million cards sold five months after launch.
Woori Card announced on the 30th that it sold a total of 1 million cards in five months after introducing 'Card Principle POINT' last April, followed by DISCOUNT, SHOPPING and L.POINT (L Point).
The card's signature feature is that it fuses finance and art. The card plate surface is wrapped in a work by Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung and given a special finish, so the artwork appears set in a frame. A 'ㄱ'-shaped notch is also placed at the top right so it's easier to pull out of a wallet.
A Woori Card official analyzed, "Removing unnecessary add-on services and using the savings to strengthen benefits was the main factor driving sales."
