Woori Card announced on the 21st that it is sponsoring the '2018 Jongno Hanbok Festival,' held to promote the excellence and beauty of traditional hanbok.
Woori Card donated 20 million won to the Jongno Culture Foundation, the event's organizing body, and held a busking lecture together with painter Kim Hyun Jung, the designer of its flagship product 'Card-ui-Jeongseok.'
That afternoon, painter Kim gave a lecture on the theme 'Why I Paint Hanbok and My Connection with Woori Card' at the Street Art Park in Gwanghwamun's lawn square.
A Woori Card official said, "We sponsored this event as part of our social contribution activities to promote Korea's beauty and the excellence of hanbok to the world," adding, "The synergy with painter Kim Hyun Jung, who has created work themed on women in everyday hanbok, drew a great deal of interest from many people."
