Woori Card (CEO Jeong Won-jae) announced that it sponsored the '2018 Jongno Hanbok Festival,' held to promote the excellence and beauty of traditional hanbok.

Woori Card donated 20 million won to the Jongno Culture Foundation, the event's organizing body, and held a busking lecture together with painter Kim Hyun Jung, the collaborating artist behind the design of its flagship product 'Card-ui-Jeongseok.'

The lecture, on the theme 'Why I Paint Hanbok and My Connection with Woori Card,' was held that afternoon at the Street Art Park in Gwanghwamun's lawn square, and concluded successfully amid an enthusiastic response from the audience.

A Woori Card official said, "We sponsored this event as part of our social contribution activities to promote Korea's beauty and the excellence of hanbok to the world," adding, "The synergy with painter Kim Hyun Jung, who has created work themed on women in everyday hanbok, drew a great deal of interest from many people."

Meanwhile, painter Kim Hyun Jung was selected for '2017 Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30,' and is highly regarded, having held a solo exhibition and lecture at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, one of the world's three major museums.
