Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) appointed Oriental painter Kim Hyun Jung as its Hope Bridge Hope Ambassador (publicity ambassador) at the Hope Bridge Hall on the 1st floor of the Korea Disaster Relief Association building on the afternoon of the 17th.
Going forward, artist Kim will serve as Hope Ambassador for Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, a specialized disaster relief fundraising organization, taking the lead in various sharing activities so that domestic disaster victims in urgent need of a helping hand due to sudden disasters, as well as climate refugees worldwide suffering from climate change, can lead stable lives.
Hope Ambassador Kim Hyun Jung gifted the 2020 calendar 'Naesoong Calendar' to Hope Bridge supporters.
Artist Kim said, "I am very happy to be able to add even a small amount of strength to such a meaningful cause," and shared her thoughts, adding, "I will do my best to widely publicize Hope Bridge's disaster relief fundraising activities through social media, and I will also work hard on talent donations so that I can be a warm comfort and source of hope for disaster-affected neighbors."
Artist Kim Hyun Jung, known as the "Idol of Korean Painting" for her outstanding skill and beauty, is regarded as a leading Korean painting artist with a solid fan base built on her witty and cathartic artistic world that slightly twists reality, as seen in works like the 'Naesoong series' and 'Marriage.' She was also named to Forbes' 2017 list of '30 Influential Under-30s in Asia,' marking her as a next-generation leader.
Meanwhile, on this day, artist Kim gifted 50 copies of the 2020 calendar 'Naesoong Calendar,' carefully completed over four months of work, to Hope Bridge supporters.
Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association is a purely private relief organization established in 1961 through the joint efforts of newspapers, broadcasters, and social organizations nationwide, and the only legally designated relief organization that can support relief funds for domestic natural disaster victims. Over the past 58 years, it has supported disaster victims with 1.4 trillion won in donations and over 30 million relief items, carrying out various relief activities including housing recovery, temporary housing support, and laundry relief.
