Kim Hyun Jung x Lotte Miffy

A 61-year-old rabbit appeared wearing hanbok. Miffy, the beloved friend of children around the world created by the celebrated Dutch designer Dick Bruna, visited Korea in 2016 to mark her 61st birthday. At the Many Mini Miffy exhibition held at the Avenuel Art Hall in Lotte Department Store’s Jamsil branch, 61 artists and brands each gave their own identity to an 80-centimeter Miffy mold. Working with hanbok master designer Park Sul-nyeo, the artist created ‘Naesoong Miffy’ — this time, it was Miffy herself who was elegantly dressed in the hanbok so central to the Naesoong story. Collaborating with a character she had loved since childhood was a genuine honor, and the response from children in particular was extraordinary.
