[Chungcheong Maeil, Reporter Lee Bong-ho] Season 2 of the humanities lecture series "Kim Dae-gon Class," held by Dangjin City, Chungnam, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Father Kim Dae-gon, wrapped up on the 18th to great acclaim.
The city live-streamed Kim Dae-gon Class Season 2 over two days, the 17th and 18th, via the YouTube "Kim Dae-gon Priest Channel."
On the 17th, Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung performed a drawing of a portrait of Father Kim Dae-gon under the theme "Catholicism Seen Through Religious Painting," presenting a fresh contrast to existing portraits of Father Kim Dae-gon; and on the 18th, calligrapher Lee Jung-hwa presented a calligraphy performance of Father Kim Dae-gon's sayings under the theme "Unchanging Yet Changing," elevating the feel of the previously created "Solmoe Kim Dae-gon" font into a rich visual spectacle.
