Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's solo exhibition 'A Tray of Eggs, Marrying Age' will be held from September 2 to 14 at Geumboseong Art Museum in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul.
This exhibition commemorates Kim Hyun Jung's Korea Young Artist Award and is sponsored by the Korean Fine Arts Association and Geumboseong Art Museum.
Announcing the exhibition, Kim Hyun Jung said, "I tried to portray the vague fear and anxiety around marriage honestly and in an engaging way. I invite you to a space that will help shake off the holiday stress."
She also revealed, "This exhibition includes works made in collaboration with Studio A-Part (photographer Kim Do-hyung) and Golden Needle (director Kim Young-mi)."
Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung completed her doctoral coursework in Oriental Painting at Seoul National University's graduate school, holds a master's degree from the same graduate school, and graduated from Seoul National University's College of Fine Arts, Department of Oriental Painting, and its College of Business Administration, as well as Sun Hwa Arts High School and Sun Hwa Arts Middle School. She has held numerous exhibitions at venues including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the National Assembly of Korea, the Seoul Metropolitan Council, the Seoul Arts Center, and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and has received numerous awards as a formidable Korean painter, earning her the nickname 'the idol of Korean painting.'
