[Maekyung.com MK Sports reporter Hwang Seok-jo] The Nexen Heroes will hold a 'Woori, Card Basics Day' event at their game against the KIA Tigers on the 15th at Gocheok Sky Dome.

For this 'Woori, Card Basics Day,' Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung, who collaborated with 'Woori Card' on the card design, will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

Painter Kim Hyun Jung shared her thoughts: "As far as I know, this is the first time a Korean painter has thrown a first pitch at a professional baseball game. I'm happy and honored about that. I especially wanted to wear hanbok to throw the pitch, and I hope it becomes an opportunity to introduce hanbok, Korean painting, and Korean culture. As a personal work, I painted a Korean-painting series called 'Naesung Olympics' on the theme of recreational sports. Going forward, I'm planning a piece incorporating baseball into the 'Naesung series.' I'd appreciate everyone's interest."

Known as the idol of the Korean-painting world, artist Kim Hyun Jung is a rising star in the Korean art scene, having gained huge popularity for her signature 'Naesung series,' which brings fresh change to orthodox Oriental-painting theory and technique.

Starting at 4:40 p.m. before the game, a 'Photo Time Event with the Cheerleaders' will run for 40 minutes at the pedestrian plaza in front of the stadium. An event booth called 'Home Run Basics' will be set up at the same spot, giving out eco bags and multipurpose adhesive pads. A 'Woori Card Gift Card' will also be given out as a prize through an inning event during the game.

A 'Ladies Day' event for female fans will also be held. Female spectators get a 2,000-won discount on infield levels 3 and 4 with on-site advance booking, and women's merchandise will be sold at a discount at the Heroes Shop in the stadium. 'Kyungnam Pharm Lemona' and 'Nature Republic California Aloe Soothing Sun Stick' will also be given out through in-game events.
