(News Maker = Reporter Jung Gi-cheol) Broadcast personality couple Hong Hyun-hee and Jaysun will be appointed Seoul Promotional Ambassadors.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 28th that it will appoint Hong Hyun-hee and Jaysun as Seoul Promotional Ambassadors at the '2019 Seoul Promotional Ambassadors' Night: Stars Share Their Light' event, held on the 29th at City Hall.
At the event, Hong Hyun-hee and Jaysun will receive their appointment plaques from Mayor Park Won-soon and begin their activities as Seoul Promotional Ambassadors.
Comedian Hong Hyun-hee and interior designer Jaysun (real name Yeon Je-seung), a couple with the wife older than the husband who married in 2018, have won the affection of many viewers appearing on various entertainment programs.
Hong Hyun-hee and Jaysun said, "Seoul is the foundation of our life together as a couple," adding, "We're delighted and looking forward to becoming Promotional Ambassadors representing Seoul."
The '2019 Seoul Metropolitan Government Promotional Ambassadors' Night: Stars Share Their Light,' where the appointment ceremony takes place, is designed as an occasion to look back on the Seoul Promotional Ambassadors' 2019 activities, share plans for 2020, and put the spirit of sharing into practice by sending warm light to blind spots in need of help.
Part 1 will feature the appointment ceremony for new Promotional Ambassadors and the presentation of plaques of appreciation to actor Kim Na-woon, architect Yoo Hyun-joon, and Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung, who were especially active in their promotional work throughout 2019.
Part 2 will be a charity auction concert co-hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and K Auction, a leading Korean art auction house.
The charity auction consists of cherished items and talent donations contributed by the Seoul Promotional Ambassadors.
The proceeds raised through the charity auction will be delivered to a total of six donation partners across five fields (emergency relief, children, culture and the arts, medical care, and animal welfare) — World Vision, ChildFund Korea, the Korea Mecenat Association, the Seungil Hope Foundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation Korea, and the Korea Kennel Federation.
Singer Zico donated clothing and a hat he regularly wears, while chef Choi Hyun-seok donated one of his cherished figures, both drawing particular attention.
In addition, a variety of items will be on offer, including CDs signed by the Seoul Promotional Ambassadors, cosmetics, and bags.
Mayor Park Won-soon said, "Going forward, we want Seoul to be a Seoul that stands as a reliable pillar close to the lives of its citizens, through various policies including housing support for newlywed couples, to keep building a good city to live in together."
He added, "I'm delighted to be able to talk about Seoul in various settings together with Hong Hyun-hee and Jaysun, and I look forward to their future activities."
