Seongnam City is holding a fair where visitors can directly see, hear, and experience its lifelong-learning programs, over two days, October 28-29, at the Lifelong Learning Center in Yatap-dong, Bundang-gu. On the fair's first day, October 28, a lecture series is held under the slogan 'A Million Teachers of Learning,' with Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung speaking on the theme 'The Age of Self-Creation.'

Seongnam City Holds Lifelong Learning Fair
(Seongnam=International News) Reporter Kim A-ra = An event where visitors can directly see, hear, and experience everything about the lifelong-learning programs run by Gyeonggi Province's Seongnam City will be held over two days, the 28th-29th, at Nuri Hall on the 1st floor of the Lifelong Learning Center in Yatap-dong, Bundang-gu.
During this period, a variety of citizen-participation programs will be arranged, including a lecture series, a family high-tech industry classroom, 33 hands-on events, 20 performances, food events, a bazaar, and an exhibition.
The lecture series will be held on the fair's first day under the slogan 'A Million Teachers of Learning.'
There will be three lectures: photographer Lim Su-min's 'A Recipe for Emotional Photography from a Street Photographer in the Age of Solo Channels,' economic researcher Sun Dae-in's 'A Recipe for Future Careers to Overcome a Downward Economy from an Economic Expert in an Era of Low Growth,' and Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's 'A Recipe for Imagining the Future Through Art from a Buzzworthy Oriental Painter, in the Age of Self-Creation.'
The family high-tech industry classroom will operate on the fair's second day.
There are three programs: a program to experience the groundbreaking technology of 3D printers, a Drone Live program to learn the principles of drones and fly them, and a software (SW) creativity camp, part of the curriculum set to become a mandatory subject in elementary, middle, and high schools from 2018.
Among these, the drone experience (100 people) and SW creativity camp (60 people) require advance registration via the Seongnam Lifelong Learning Center website from 9 a.m. on October 19 to 6 p.m. on October 25.
In addition, over the two days of the event, visitors can experience a variety of other lifelong-learning programs, including making birds out of wire, making hand bracelets with dori knots, resin art, clay, ribbon art, style decoration, and a self-help festival.
