An exhibition by Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung was held at the Geunmindang Gallery in Yekki Village, facing Andong Lake in Dosan-myeon, Andong. Kim has been introduced as an artist who opened a new chapter in Korean painting, with her work even featured in middle and high school textbooks.

Geunmindang Gallery recreates the former township office building that once stood in the area before it was submerged by the construction of Andong Dam, and the space now operates as a gallery. Held under the theme "Naesung," the exhibition offered visitors a fresh sense of enjoyment by reinterpreting and popularizing traditional culture.

Explaining what led her to hold the exhibition here, the artist said, "The name Yekki Village itself — a village gathered by people with artistic talent — felt so appealing that I wanted to exhibit here." She added that she selected works that best suited the space while also representing her signature pieces.
