[Yongin = Reporter Oh Wang-seok] The Bojeong Station Community Culture Center (Bojeong-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin) (Bojeong-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin), a cultural gathering space where the youth of Yongin's citizens blossoms, holds the 'Youth Party' talk concert on the second Friday of every month at 8 p.m., sharing issues together with a young artist.
At the Youth Party held on November 9, Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung -- known by various epithets such as the idol of Korean painting, a 21st-century genre painter, and a pop Korean-painting artist -- will speak on the theme 'How to Draw Out Diverse Ideas Through Creative Thinking, as Taught by a Painter.'
Well known for her 'Naesoong series,' a contemporary genre-painting series inspired by everyday moments, Kim Hyun Jung was selected for Forbes' '2017 30 Under 30 Asia,' and is much loved as an artist who communicates through work that combines the finish of complex collage techniques using diverse materials on a traditional Korean painting foundation with sincerity and wit.
Anyone aged 16 or older who wants to feel young at heart may apply for the 'Youth Party.' On the day of the event, pre-registered participants can take part in an event to experience youth lifestyle culture, as well as an opportunity to make their own items related to folk painting. Advance registration is available via the link posted on the Foundation's website, and can be checked on the Foundation's website (www.yicf.or.kr) in the fourth week of each month.
