[Media Pen = reporter Kim Ha-neul] Woori Card announced on the 4th that it has prepared an event letting customers of its new product 'Card Basics POINT' enjoy "Korean beauty."

First, an event offering a 50% discount on rental fees for hanbok, the traditional Korean garment prized for its beauty, so customers can enjoy it at an affordable price, is underway.

The event runs through the end of this year, and customers can get a 50% discount when paying rental fees at hanbok rental shops near Jongno-gu. The discount applies only at Woori Card partner shops, once per person per day, up to a maximum of 10,000 won.

A 50% discount event on admission to major palaces and royal tombs in Seoul and Gyeonggi is also underway, letting customers enjoy "Korea's architectural beauty and natural scenery."

The event runs through the end of June. It applies at 21 sites including the Four Grand Palaces — Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung, and Deoksugung — as well as Jongmyo Shrine and the Joseon royal tombs, up to once per person per month, a maximum of 2,000 won.

Meanwhile, Woori Card launched its new product 'Card Basics POINT' last month.

The card earns the industry's best base point-earning rate of 0.8% across all categories, with no cap when spending in the previous month reaches 300,000 won.

The card plate design also carries Korean beauty. By applying Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's work 'Gwayubulgeup,' it merges art with a card measuring 8.5cm by 5.4cm.

The card has surpassed 100,000 units issued just three weeks after launch, continuing its strong run.

Further details on the product and event can be found on the Woori Card website and mobile app.
