Woori Card was ranked No. 1 in the check card category of the Premium Brand Index, hosted by the Korea Standards Association, for the sixth consecutive year.
Woori Card launched the first product in its 'Card Classics' series, 'Card Classics POINT,' equipped with the industry's top-tier reward rate, in April last year. Alongside it, the company introduced 'artvertising'-style advertising using several of Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's representative works, bringing a fresh wind to the market.
Card Classics began with the idea that a product was needed that reflected reality while making benefits easy and substantial to feel. Following the first series entry, the company released products such as 'Card Classics DISCOUNT,' 'Card Classics SHOPPING,' and 'Card Classics L POINT,' which made it easy to earn discounts or points linked to everyday spending. It also successively launched products with careful attention to customers' lives, such as 'Card Classics Wibee On Plus,' which offers billing discounts for work-life balance-related categories central to today's lifestyles, and 'Card Classics SSO3 CHECK,' which offers cash-back at specific merchants from 6 p.m. to midnight.
This year, the company drew attention by launching cards for diverse target customers, from 'Card Classics CREAM TEENS CHECK' for teens to the premium-tier 'Card Classics PREMIUM.' It also introduced 'Card Classics WOWRI' to commemorate the Card Classics series surpassing 3 million accounts in under a year, the fastest in the industry.
The Card Classics series, which surpassed 4 million issued accounts as of late July, also strengthened benefits for simple payment services experiencing rapid growth, such as Samsung Pay, Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, and Payco, allowing cardholders to feel benefits even more substantially and easily.
Amid a flood of card products, Woori Card is offering products with easy yet solid benefits suited to consumers' spending lives, delivering a fresh and useful brand experience to customers. Going forward, Woori Card plans to continue staying true to the basics while pursuing new attempts, offering card products centered on customer value.
