Woori Card (CEO Jeong Won-jae) announced on the 4th that it had launched the new product 'Card Basics WOWRI' on the 1st to mark the 'Card Basics' series surpassing 3 million accounts and its first anniversary of launch.

Card Basics WOWRI is a name formed by adding the words 'wow' and 'we' (uri), meaning astonishment at achieving 3 million accounts in the fastest time in the industry.

The product's main benefits are the same as 'Card Basics POINT,' which offers benefits specialized for point accumulation. It accumulates 0.8% of spending at all merchants, one of the industry's highest rates, and up to 5.0% of spending at special categories customers frequently use.

Compared to the existing Card Basics POINT, it is characterized by strengthened accumulation benefits for duty-free purchases.

Registering the card with major simple payment services such as Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, and SSG Pay and paying with it also earns an additional 3% accumulation benefit. Notably, each payment service's own points are also accumulated.

The card design is based on Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's design, using basic geometric elements and obangsaek, the traditional five cardinal colors. Through this, it sought to express the harmony of yin-yang and the five elements.

An event is also being held to mark the product's launch. Customers who receive the card and, through the end of next month, register and pay with it on Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, and SSG Pay to earn the 3% additional accumulation benefit will be entered into a drawing where a total of 10,000 winners will receive double the points they accumulated.

Meanwhile, the card's annual fee is 12,000 won for the overseas-compatible version and 10,000 won for the domestic-only version.
