Woori Card announced on the 19th that it is running an admission-discount event at major palaces and royal tombs in the capital region to mark the launch of 'Card Jeongseok POINT.'

From the 18th through the end of June, paying with the 'Card Jeongseok POINT' card earns a 50% discount on admission to the Four Grand Palaces — Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung, and Deoksugung — Jongmyo Shrine, and the Joseon royal tombs, 21 sites in all. The discount is capped at 2,000 won, once per person per month.

Meanwhile, the 'Card Jeongseok POINT' card, launched on the 2nd, offers an industry-leading base accrual rate of 0.8% across all categories, with unlimited accrual once the prior month's spending reaches 300,000 won.

On top of that, 10 special categories frequently used by customers earn up to 5% back: mobile carriers, public transit, and EV charging at 5%, coffee and movies at 3%, and department stores, large discount marts, online shopping, gas, and overseas spending at 1%. Registering the card with major simple-payment services such as Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, and SSG Pay adds a further 3%.

The card-plate design is also the industry's first to carry Korean beauty, featuring Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's work 'Gwayubulgeup' to heighten visual and emotional satisfaction.

Further details on this event are available on the Woori Card website and mobile app. [Daily Ian = Reporter Bae Geun-mi]
