[Hans Economy, Ko Young-hoon] Woori Card announced on the 19th that it will run a palace and royal tomb admission discount event to mark the launch of its new 'Card of Standards POINT' product.

The event runs from the 18th of this month through the end of June, and paying palace and royal tomb admission fees with the 'Card of Standards POINT' card earns a 50% discount.

Benefits apply at 21 sites, including the Four Grand Palaces — Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung, and Deoksugung — plus Jongmyo Shrine and the Joseon royal tombs, with a discount of up to 2,000 won once per person per month.

Earlier, on the 2nd of this month, Woori Card launched 'Card of Standards POINT,' a new product combining strong point-accumulation benefits with artistic design. Card of Standards POINT offers an industry-leading base accumulation of 0.8% across all categories, with unlimited accumulation once the prior month's spending reaches 300,000 won.

On top of that, in 10 special categories customers frequently use — mobile carriers, public transit, and EV charging at 5%; coffee and movies at 3%; and department stores, large discount stores, online shopping, fuel, and overseas purchases at 1% — up to 5% of spending is accumulated. Registering the card with major simple-payment services such as Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, and SSG Pay and paying with it earns an additional 3%.

The card plate design also captures a Korean aesthetic, an industry first. Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's work 'Excess Is as Bad as Deficiency' was applied to the 8.5cm by 5.4cm card, blending art into the design to heighten visual and emotional satisfaction and enhance the brand experience.

More details on the event and product can be found on the Woori Card website and mobile app.
