Woori Card announced on the 31st that its new product Card Basics POINT (POINT), launched on the 2nd of last month, has surpassed a cumulative 300,000 cards issued in two months.
Card Basics has drawn popularity from Woori Bank transaction customers since launch, reaching more than 10 in three weeks.
The company explained that the strong response came from a combination of varied point-earning benefits and artistic plate design.
The card applies the industry's best base point rate of 0.8% across all categories, with unlimited accrual once the previous month's spending exceeds 300,000 won.
In particular, based on big-data analysis results, it strengthens benefits in categories customers frequently use, earning 5% in points for telecom, public transit, and EV charging; 3% for movies; and 1% for department stores, discount marts, online shopping, and gas.
The card plate embeds Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's work 'Gwayubulgeup,' emphasizing Korean beauty and raising visual and emotional satisfaction.
A Woori Card official said, "We're grateful for our customers' support of Card Basics," adding, "Next month we'll unveil the Card Basics discount type and shopping type, offering the industry's best level of benefits."
