[Korea Financial News, Reporter Jeon Ha-kyung] Woori Card's 'Card Jeongseok POINT' has surpassed 100,000 units issued within three weeks of launch.

Woori Card announced on the 24th that its new product 'Card Jeongseok POINT' surpassed 100,000 units issued within three weeks of its explosively popular launch.

Woori Card launched the new product 'Card Jeongseok POINT,' pairing a strong point-back benefit with artistic design, on the 2nd of this month.

Customer interest was explosive even before launch, and issuance moved at an unusually fast pace for a general-purpose card, surpassing 100,000 units within three weeks.

'Card Jeongseok POINT' offers an industry-leading base accrual rate of 0.8% across all categories, with unlimited accrual once the prior month's spending reaches 300,000 won. Everyday categories — mobile carriers, public transit, and EV charging at 5%, coffee and movies at 3%, and department stores, large discount marts, online shopping, gas, and overseas spending at 1% — earn up to 5% back across 10 special categories.

Benefits are also built in for customers who favor simple-payment services.

Registering the card with the four major simple-payment services — Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, and SSG Pay — and paying through them earns a further 3%, and customers can enjoy the benefits each payment service offers on its own, making it very useful for simple-payment-loving customers.

The card-plate design is also the industry's first to feature Korean painting.

Applying Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's work 'Gwayubulgeup' to the card's 8.5cm x 5.4cm surface transforms a rigid financial product into something more emotionally engaging. Customers who received the physical card have widely praised it on social media as 'even prettier in person.'

A product-launch event is also running. Customers who spend 300,000 won or more on the card and enter by the end of May are eligible, by drawing, for prizes including 2 million Moa Points, a Galaxy S9 or S9+, an LG PuriCare air purifier, and a Dyson V8 cordless vacuum. Other benefits include double Moa Points for Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, and SSG Pay users, 2–3 month interest-free installments at all affiliated merchants, and discounted airfare events.

An 'annual fee cashback event' is also prepared for online applicants.

Customers who apply online for 'Card Jeongseok POINT' or 'Card Jeongseok POINT Check' by the end of June and spend 100,000 won or more by the end of the month following their card issuance can get up to 100% of their annual fee back for 'Card Jeongseok POINT,' or up to 5,000 won back for 'Card Jeongseok POINT Check.'
