Woori Card (President Jeong Won-jae) has released and is selling its new product 'Card-ui-Jeongseok WOWRI' to celebrate the Card-ui-Jeongseok series surpassing 3 million cards issued and its first anniversary.
'Card-ui-Jeongseok WOWRI' was named by combining 'Wow,' reflecting the surprising achievement of surpassing 3 million cards in the industry's fastest time, with 'Uri' (Woori), forming 'WOWRI.'
The product's main benefits are identical to 'Card-ui-Jeongseok Point,' which grants benefits specialized in existing point accrual. It offers an industry-leading 0.8% accrual on spending at all affiliated merchants, and up to 5.0% at special categories customers frequently use.
Compared to the existing 'Card-ui-Jeongseok Point,' its feature is enhanced accrual for duty-free store payments.
Registering and paying with this card on major simple-payment services such as Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, and SSG Pay also earns an additional 3% accrual. Customers can also earn each payment service's own points, making it especially useful for customers who prefer simple payments.
The company also put great effort into differentiating the card design. It used basic geometric elements based on the design of Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung, applying the five traditional Korean colors (obangsaek) on top to convey a variety of hues.
Through this, it expresses the harmony of yin-yang and the five elements, achieving a distinctive aesthetic entirely different from existing products.
There is also a launch commemorative event. Customers who receive the card and, by the end of May, register and pay with it on the four major payment services (Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, SSG Pay) to earn the 3% extra point accrual benefit will, by lottery draw, have a total of 10,000 winners receive double the points they accrued.
This card's annual fee is 12,000 won for the overseas-and-domestic version and 10,000 won for the domestic-only version. Further details on the product or event can be found on the Woori Card website (www.wooricard.com) or mobile app.
