AK Plaza announced on the 29th that it would hold a Chuseok gift promotion event starting the 30th at all its branches—Suwon, Bundang, Pyeongtaek, and Wonju—giving away a limited-edition gift made in collaboration with Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung.
At the Bundang branch's 5th-floor event hall, a 'Chuseok Essential Kitchenware Special' will run from the 30th through the 15th of next month, offering popular tableware items such as Golden Bell, Tefal, and Notdam at special prices. Starting the 30th, AK Members customers will receive a coupon, valid for just three days, for up to 70% off select items including Guess Kids and Adidas Kids tops and bags.
Meanwhile, the Pyeongtaek branch's 7th-floor event hall will run a 'Chuseok Gift Special Exhibition' through the 4th of next month, offering up to 70% off end-of-season items including shoes, handbags, menswear, kitchenware, and baby products.
The Suwon branch will also run promotions alongside its renovation. The newly opened kids' cosmetics brand DLFriends will sell sun cushion & lipstick sets for 99,000 won, and the Step Care store will offer 20% off popular kids' shoe brands such as Umi Shoes, Vogs, and Melly Pop.
In addition, Étoiles and Organic Mom will hold 10–30% off renewal opening sales. The popular exciting kids' club Champion will also open in the 5th-floor children's section on the 6th of next month, offering enjoyment to families visiting the department store for Chuseok.
Meanwhile, the limited-edition gift is a 'carrier cover.' Starting the 30th, it will be given while supplies last at each branch's gift desk to customers holding a same-day receipt for AK Card purchases of 100,000 won or more. The artist who collaborated on the gift, Kim Hyun Jung, was named one of Forbes' '30 Under 30 Asia' in 2017 and is known as the idol of the Korean painting world for combining exceptional skill with beauty. She is widely known to the public for her 'The Story of Naesoong.'
