Bausch + Lomb Korea (CEO Lee Ji-min) announced the launch of the 2017 Reysell 'Gaze Queen' contest, with applications open from Monday, October 30 through Sunday, November 12. Any female university student with a confident gaze and a story of pursuing her dreams may apply, through the official Reysell Gaze Queen contest website.
Considering each applicant's confident, dream-driven story, the contest will first select 12 finalists, then narrow the field to 5 Gaze Queens through interviews and online voting. The 5 Gaze Queens will each receive an award by Reysell color at the Gaze Talk Concert, and a live vote at the event will select one final Reysell Gaze Queen from among them. The winner will receive 5 million won in dream support funding and the opportunity to appear as a magazine cover model.
The awards ceremony, held in a talk-concert format, will take place on Thursday, December 7, with the Bausch + Lomb Reysell mentor group taking part directly. The mentor group consists of Crystal, the muse of Bausch + Lomb who worked hard to succeed as a singer; Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung, who has built her art career by boldly embracing the gaze of the world; beauty YouTuber Bambi Girl, who grew from a model daughter into a well-known beauty YouTuber; and Lee Ji-su, CEO of Dano, who succeeded in starting her own business with her own unique idea. At the Gaze Talk Concert, they will share their own experiences of challenging themselves, working hard, and growing through their own way of facing the world's gaze, in conversation with young people in their twenties.
To take part in the Gaze Talk Concert, participants can purchase Reysell products at partner optical shops during the event period (November 1-30) or take part in the online Gaze Queen vote; invitations will be given out by random drawing.
This event, the second since the first Reysell Gaze Queen contest in 2015, marks the final stop of the 2017 Reysell campaign and was arranged to cheer on and give young people in their twenties the chance to pursue their dreams.
A Bausch + Lomb Korea marketing representative said, "We hope many confident female university students will take an interest in and join the 2017 Reysell Gaze Queen contest," adding, "We will continue to actively support people in their twenties enjoying the world's gaze and pursuing their dreams through activities like this."
More details on the 2017 Reysell Gaze Queen contest can be found on the event website.
