What would it be like if world-class artists collaborated with children?

EBS is airing a 10-part project, "Let's Play with Art," in 15-minute episodes on Channel 2 through February 1, in which ten top artists connect with children and enjoy art together. Co-planned and produced with the Korea Arts and Culture Education Service, the project seeks ways to nurture children's artistic sensibility, designed so that anyone can easily follow along and awaken their own artistic sensibility.

The project features sound artist Kim Jun, who expresses art through sound; contemporary artist Kim Yi-bak, who drew much public interest with her "Moving Garden" project; architect and Lego professional Lee Jae-won; and others who stimulate children's imaginations. Oriental painter Kim Hyun Jung, contemporary dancer Kim Seol-jin, and violinist Danny Koo also show new forms of communication and connection.

Episode 2, "Dol Boreum Nang Sorangsorang," airing at 5:15 p.m. on the 22nd, takes its title from the Jeju dialect for "stones, wind, trees, gently swaying." In it, sound artist Kim Jun and nine-year-old Jeju girl Haesol collect the sounds of Jeju's nature together and spend time maximizing their sense of sound. Through this work, Haesol developed a hobby of collecting sounds with her smartphone.

In Episode 4, "Treasure Hunt in My Heart," airing on the 24th, drawing artist Kim Jung-ki and seven children from multicultural families draw their "hidden hearts" on a 5-meter white canvas. And in Episode 5, "My Happy Home," airing on the 25th, Lee Jae-won builds architectural imagination together with five children using Lego. The full broadcast schedule is available on the EBS website.
