'Card Principle,' the series Woori Card has been rolling out since last April, has surpassed 1 million cards issued in five months.

Woori Card announced on the 30th that its 'Card Principle Point,' 'Discount,' 'Shopping' and 'L.POINT' series combined have surpassed 1 million cards issued. Since first launching the 'Card Principle' series last April, Woori Card has promoted it as a flagship card.

Woori Card cited △ industry-leading accrual and discount benefits, △ extra benefits in categories customers use most often, and △ card design that fuses art and finance by drawing on Korean beauty, as the factors behind the series' popularity. The 'Card Principle' series uses Korean painter Kim Hyun Jung's work in its design.

Woori Card expects the 'Card Principle' issuance total to top 2 million within the year. A Woori Card official said, "By cutting unnecessary add-on services and channeling the savings into strengthening core benefits, we preemptively addressed concerns about profitability, and as a result customer satisfaction has risen further, creating a win-win for both the company and our customers."
