Woori Card's point-accrual specialized product 'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT,' launched on the 2nd, is drawing attention not only for its benefits but also for its design. 'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT' applies the coloring of Oriental painting to a card design for the first time in the industry, creating a differentiated design standard from existing credit cards.

Woori Card held a special exhibition on the afternoon of the 4th at the Insa Art Center in Insa-dong, Seoul, of Oriental painter Kim Hyun Jung, who designed 'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT.' A Woori Card official explained, "We judged that Kim, who is popular for her fresh ideas, themes, and expression techniques, was well suited to convey the meaning of this product, which pursues solid basics."

President Jeong Won-jae of Woori Card, who took office last January, put great care not only into the product's name but also its design when creating 'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT.' Beyond the collaboration with Kim, President Jeong was also strongly committed to introducing the 'Artvertising' technique to the card plate and elsewhere to visually convey the 'standard.' Artvertising, a portmanteau of art and advertising, refers to advertising in which artistic elements such as visual art or music play a central role.

'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT' features Kim's work 'Gwayubulgeup.' This reflects the launch intent of encouraging wise spending rather than excessive spending. The artwork is also given a visual framing effect, as if set within a picture frame, and a diagonal notch is placed in the card's upper right for easy removal from a wallet, enhancing convenience. Beyond the card design, Woori Card plans to also use Kim's representative works in advertising to communicate with customers.

This product consists of two credit cards and one check card. 'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT' has a base accrual rate of 0.8%, earning points across all merchant categories with no accrual limit once the previous month's spending exceeds 300,000 won. In addition, customers frequently earn 5% of the amount spent on mobile telecom, public transit, and EV charging; 3% on coffee and movies; and 1% on department stores, large discount stores, online shopping, gas stations, and overseas spending. Paying through major simple-payment services such as Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco, and SSG Pay also earns an additional 3% accrual benefit.

'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT Main Transaction' earns 3% of the amount spent on mobile telecom, public transit, and EV charging, with the rest identical to 'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT.' The check card 'Card-ui-jeongseok POINT Check' earns up to 1.5% in the 10 special categories, and an additional 1.5% when using simple-payment services, for up to 3%.
