These days, people sometimes get a credit card not for points or discounts, but for its design.
A card featuring a Korean painting is drawing attention.
Reporter Kim Ji-young has the story.

From a girl's face surrounded by green flowers to a woman elegantly dressed in hanbok.
This venue, which feels like an art exhibition, is actually a new-product launch event for a card company.
These paintings, imbued with Korean beauty, have been placed directly onto credit cards.
While works by world-renowned masters, characters, and lettering have been used in card designs before, this marks the first time a Korean painting has been featured.

- "I came to think that a card is really an exhibition you can carry around. As an artist, I felt this was something I had to do, more than any other collaboration..."
Along with the new attempt, the card's name and functions were also differentiated.
The card's point accumulation rate is among the industry's highest.
For 10 categories customers frequently use, such as coffee or online shopping, the accumulation rate is even higher.

As credit cards that once looked similar and predictable increasingly differentiate themselves to win over consumers.
